Maker/origin: Crafted by Drew Estate; blended by Jonathan Drew and his team; produced in Nicaragua (originally made for Drew Estate, later moved production to Drew Estate’s Nicaraguan facilities).
Wrapper/blend: Connecticut Broadleaf Maduro wrapper over a blend of Nicaraguan and Honduran fillers with an Ecuadorian-grown binder (exact proprietary blend). Maduro wrapper gives dark, oily appearance.
Strength/body: Full-bodied and full-flavored; medium–full to full strength with substantial nicotine and rich flavors.
Flavor profile: Deep, complex notes of dark chocolate, espresso, black pepper, leather, cedar, and rich earth; occasional cocoa, nuttiness, and subtle sweetness; long, savory finish.
Construction/appearance: Dark, almost black oily wrapper; well-rolled, firm draw, good smoke production and dense, creamy smoke when in good condition.
Sizes/common vitolas: Offered in several vitolas (toro, toro grande, robusto, corona, etc.), with the No. 9 Toro being a signature.
